How to extend your timer when it ends When the timer ends, you’ll get an alert. You can choose to extend the timer for the same amount of time or reset it with a new time.To extend your timer for the same amount of time, you can shake your phone within 30 seconds of the audio starting to fade. How to turn off your shake-to-extend setting You can change your timer settings anytime in the app. Go to your Profile.Select the Settings gear icon.Select Player.Turn off Shake to extend. How to use the timer with iOS Live Activity iOS Live Activity is automatically turned on for all iPhones with +iOS 17.0 or greater. Whenever you set your timer, the Timer Live Activity will be visible from your phone's lock screen or dynamic island so you can see the time remaining without opening your iOS device. For all iOS devices, you can shake your phone to extend the timer.For all iOS devices with +iOS 17.0 or greater, you select Live Activity from the lock screen to access your timer.On all iPhone 14 Pros, you can select Live Activity on Apple's Dynamic Island to access your timer. Note: You can allow Audible Live Activities for Audible in your device settings. You can also accept or reject Live Activities from the Audible app when you see the Timer Live Activity for the first time.
