You can use the Audible widget to control the app right from your home screen.

Add the widget on your Android device

You can add the Audible widget to your Android device in two ways.

From your Home Screen

1. Press and hold your Home screen.
2. Select Apps and Widgets.
3. Select the Widget tab.
4. Look for the Audible app widget.
5. Press and hold the Audible app widget.
6. Move the widget to your preferred location.

Long press of the App

1. Press and hold your Audible App on your Home Screen until a pop out menu appears.
2. Select Widgets Menu.
3. Pick from menu of widgets to add your preferred size.
4. Move the widget to your preferred location.

Android Home Screen Widget Functionalities

• Updated widget — As of the release of Android app version 3.99, we have introduced a newer, more flexible module. We encourage customers to switch to the new widget type.
• Multiple sizes available — The new widget has 4 sizes small, medium, large, extra large — these sizes can be adjusted by dragging and dropping.
  • Note: Depending on your device capabilities, Android may force appropriate sizing supported by your device, please remember you can drag and drop to different sizing if immediate installation of the widget size of choice does not appear.
• Contextual background — The widget background dynamically updates to reflect the cover art color of your most recent or currently playing audiobook.

Add the widget on your iOS device

1. Press and hold your screen until your icons start to shake.
2. Select the Add + widget icon.
3. Find the Audible app.
4. Pick a widget.
5. Select Add Widget.
6. Move the widget to your preferred location.

iOS Home Screen Widget Functionalities

• Updated experience — As of the release of Audible iOS app version 4.40 introduces a refreshed widget with improved performance and design.
• Multiple sizes available — Choose from small, medium, or large widget layouts to suit your Home Screen preferences. The widget will automatically adjust the layout of your other apps on your screen to fit.
• Simplified playback — Easily play, pause, and view your current title without opening the Audible app.
• Contextual background — The widget background dynamically updates to reflect the cover art color of your most recent or currently playing audiobook.
