Latest updates to the Audible for Google Play Android app

As of 13 February 2024, the Audible for Google Play Android app (version 3.68 and newer) experience will change. Most of the features you love about the Audible app will remain the same, but you can see what's changing below, and as always please contact us if you have questions.

Audible has integrated the core features you love and expect. You can still sign up in the app. And we know that credit redemption is a primary way that customers use Audible, so you can still purchase credits and redeem them for audio titles.

Note: We strongly advise to keep your app updated to ensure a smooth listening experience.

Note: Credits received from an Audible membership started in the Audible for Google Play Android app are not subject to Audible's rollover limit, and will remain in your account after cancellation.

 

How do I switch my Audible Google Play membership plan?

1. Open the Google Play Store on your desktop or mobile device.
2. Select your profile icon.
3. In your profile menu, select Payments and subscriptions.
4. Select Subscriptions.
5. Find then select Audible.
6. Select a plan you want to change to.
7. Confirm your new plan.

How do I cancel my Audible Google Play membership?

1. Open the Google Play Store on your desktop or mobile device.
2. Select your profile icon.
3. In your profile menu, select Payments and subscriptions.
4. Select Subscriptions.
5. Find then select Audible.
6. Select Cancel subscription.
7. In the confirmation, choose a reason.
8. Select Continue.

What happens after I cancel my Audible Google Play subscription?

You can still enjoy your Audible membership for the time that you’ve already paid for. For example, if you subscribe to an annual membership on January 1 and decide to cancel your membership on June 1:

• You’ll have access to all of your member benefits until December 31.
• You won’t be charged for another annual subscription on the following January 1.

How do I change the payment method?

Your Google Play Store payment method applies to all Google Play Store subscriptions and not just for Audible, but you can change it at anytime.

Add a payment method

1. Open the Google Play Store on your desktop or mobile device.
2. Select your Profile icon.
3. Select Payments & subscriptions.
4. Select Payment methods.
5. Select Add a credit or debit card.
6. Complete the on-screen instructions.

Edit a payment method

1. Go to the Google Play Store on your desktop or mobile device.
2. Select your Profile icon.
3. Select Payments & subscriptions.
4. Select Payment methods.
5. Select More payment settings.
6. Select Edit.
7. Make any changes, then select Update.

Update your payment method

1. Go to the Google Play Store on your desktop or mobile device.
2. Select your Profile icon.
3. Select Payments & subscriptions.
4. Select Subscriptions.
5. Select Audible.
6. Select Update.
